A Photo is Worth…

Saturday, April 16th represented the second Burnaby Model United Nations conference ever. Entirely student-organized and student-run, BMUN is an accessible opportunity for many students because it is one-day event with an affordable registration fee designed simply to cover costs. Without such conferences, students are left to extend their Model UN experiences at 3-day hotel conferences, which are time-consuming and somewhat expensive.

For the second year, the conference was held at Byrne Creek Secondary School – pretty much the ideal space for a conference modelled on United Nations protocols and issues. Burnaby delegates commented that they “liked the small size” of the conference which gave them more opportunity to speak out, and that the event was “so much fun”.
