Life isn’t as predictable as we would like it to be. For this reason, each and every one of us can build a foundation of true courage inside ourselves. This courage might include a mix of confidence, communication skills, and flexibility – and it might also pack in some knowledge of strategies to move forward despite setbacks.
Grade 8 to 12 Burnaby students are invited to attend the motivational speaker event on Thursday, February 26th, 2015 called, “The Courage to Connect”. The unique event begins at 4pm sharp and ends shortly after 5pm, and will take place at Burnaby Central Secondary School in the “Main Hall” located across from the main office and beside the main entrance.
The presentation is also being offered to Burnaby Central Secondary students and teachers during the afternoon of February 26th. This event is for registered classes only.
OVERVIEW:
“A Courage to Connect” includes a live band, crowd interactions, true personal stories, entertaining video spots, and live speakers.

Three youth speakers will share stories of their personal growth from working on international development projects with the organization, “Live Different” and as it relates to the theme of meaningful connection. There will be time for questions at the end.
