Alpha teacher Ms. Tracy Borders and her Discovery Grade 8 Social Studies class will be participating in a Virtual Remembrance Day Ceremony at 9:30am this coming Friday, November 9th.

Students from across Canada will be linked in to each other: Ottawa, Edmonton, Burnaby and Quebec. Students at each site will present a portion of the ceremony and ask a question at the end. Soldiers from Afghanistan are expected to be participating and if they cannot be available that day, military leaders in Ottawa will speak briefly.

Alpha students will share insights they have gained from their research into Afghanistan and international conflicts and the work of soldiers everywhere.
